Two existing fireplaces received dramatic transformations. In the nook area, a floor-to-ceiling f ireplace was completely reimagined, framed out to establish a more modern, sculptural form and finished with hand-applied micro cement in a custom color that complements the adjacent soft cream millwork. In the living room, the existing floating hearth was refinished in the same micro cement, creating a visual thread that connects the two fireplaces and reinforces the cohesiveness of the overall design.
